A Case of Blephroptosis and Paralytic Strabismus by Acupuncture and Herbal Medicines


Abstract
Blepharoptosis is an uncommon disorder that may be appeared unilateral or bilateral. Congenital cases are usually seen in children and acquried cases in adults. Most cases can be corrected with surgery in the Western Medicine.
We are considered paralytic strabismus has paretic muscles of eyeball. Paralytic strabismus showes the deviation of eye ball position, paralyzes one or several muscles of eye. Double vision is due to muscle unbalance or to paralysis of one or
more
of
the extraocular muscles. Paralytic strabismus may be complicated blepharoptosis.
We report one case of blepharoptosis and paralytic strabismus by the treatment of acupuncture and herbal medicines. The patient showed dizziness and double vision. We have experienced good improvement to recover blepharoptosis and paralytic
strabismus
by the Oriental Medicine.
